    Julian Checkley

Julian Checkley of Order 66 Creatures and Effects

International award-winning World Record holder Julian Checkley of Order 66 Creature and Effects began his career in film and TV over 20 years ago, first as a sculptor then in the Art Department as an Art Director. However, after finding the hands on approach in the model making department more appealing, he stepped sideways into the world of creating creatures, props and prosthetic make-ups. Since then he has worked on many major feature films and iconic television programs.

Today his company Order 66 have become world renowned for their movie quality creations and photoshoots. Although Order 66 still dabbles in film work, they now cater mainly for private commissions.

One recent commission saw the creation of a Batman costume and multiple functional gadgets from the Arkham Origins video game by Warner Brothers Games. The resulting photos and videos taken by in-house cinematographer Kamil Krawczak caused quite a stir on the international cosplay scene. Inspired by this, Julian went on to create a vast array of Batman themed gadgets and now is the proud holder of a Guinness World Record for ‘The Most Functioning Gadgets on a Cosplay Suit’.

Julian has also won several titles for his costume creature creations, among them was the ‘Best in Show’ at Star Wars Celebration 2016, the world’s largest Star Wars convention.

Julian and his team are thrilled and honoured to be part of this amazing Popcon Dubai 2016 event that involves so many talented artists from around the world.
